Linear variable differential transformers (LVDT) are electrical transformer sensors to measure linear displacement. Driven by an AC excitation source, the LVDT generates a pair of AC output signals modulated according to the core's mechanical position (displacement). The latest and most capable LM6000 gas turbine exhaust gas temperature (EGT) probe from AMETEK offers the longest possible life. AMETEK is the original EGT probe supplier for CF6 aircraft engines. LM2500, LM5000, and LM6000 industrial gas turbines and now brings to market an EGT probe with new materials and a new design. The latest LM6000 T4.8 EGT thermocouple is OEM qualified and incorporates, many improvements over any previous products. Materials are carefully selected to ensure long product life and superior performance. Specifically, a new single crystal alloy for the probe support significantly improves high temperature mechanical strength. In addition, the thermocouple sheath material increases high temperature oxidation and creep resistance. Best of all, AMETEK's new T4.8 thermocouple is completely interchangeable so that it can be used on all LM6000 applications.

High Temperature Charge Mode Accelerometers
Charge mode output accelerometers from PCB® use piezo-ceramic sensing elements that output an electrostatic charge signal proportional to the applied acceleration. These sensors can operate at extremely high temperatures because they do not contain the built-in signal conditioning electronics that limit the temperature range of ICP® accelerometers. Turbine Logging System
This Turbine Overspeed Trip Logging system has been developed to check the operation of steam turbines. The speed of the turbine is monitored using an optical sensor, the logging system can be mounted up to 30 meters from the sensor. This allows the overspeed trip speed to be monitored and recorded with greater safety that using a simple tachometer. The results are logged together with time and date stamp so that it can be demonstrated that the test has been carried out.
