Slide Gate & Shaft Position
All six Shaft Angle Position Feedback Monitors in the SG1000 Series utilize absolute rotary encoders to provide independent and accurate feedback of a slide gate's or a valve's position to an external device such as a PLC or optional PM500 Process Meter Display Unit. Models are housed in a rugged, Explosion-Proof/Dust-Ignition Proof cast aluminum enclosure that is dirt, dust, grease-proof, and water resistant. STS SERIES
The STS Series is our general purpose reaction type shaft torque sensor. They are often installed between devices such as motors, switches, shafts or axles, and their mounting plate to provide bi-directional torque output. They are available in six capacity ranges from 600 in-lb through 12,000 in-lb, and are made from 17-4ph heat treated stainless steel. The sensing element incorporates bonded foil strain gages of the highest quality and are sealed for protection against most industrial environments.

Digital Tachometer

Model TAC-L Portable Digital Tachometer measures rotational speed either by contacting a rotatable head to the shaft of the object, or using photo sensor to detect the reflections from the laser. The laser target can record from a distance of up to 20 inches and gives a more accurate measurement than LED targeting. Model TAC-L includes a large LCD with a backlight for use in dark areas.

Rotary Position Sensors
Using the same technology as our linear range but with a printed rotary coil opposed to the wound linear coil our rotary sensors offer the same high performance as the linear sensor range but with shaft driven rotary or gravity driven tilt measurement. The standard P500/P502 rotary sensors can be manufactured with a measurement range anywhere between 5 and 160. We also manufacture miniature rotary sensors such as the P501 and P505 and the P503 flat PCB style version for customer application fitment. Like our linear sensor range our rotary sensors are also customisable should the standard range not accomodate your application.

Both deliver signals linearly proportional to the position of a shaft (magnetic induction core). An LVDT/RVDT simulator is used to convert digital positional commands to corresponding AC signals.

Inductive Motor Control
The inductive motor control position sensor family detects the electrical position within one pole-pair of a rotating shaft and can be used for the motor commutation of a brush-less DC (BLDC) motor. Based on the inductive sensor technology, this family measures the coupling between an excitation coil (TX) and two receiver coils (RX) via a rotating target. The coils are executed as printed circuit coils and the rotating target is a simple punched metal part. With the correct layout of the coils and the target, both synchronized to the number of pole-pair count of the motor, the IC output is proportional to the electrical angular position within one pole-pair segment with increased resolution and high performance of only 0.3° electrical INL!

Development Test Stands for Electric Motors
Development test stands from imc are characterized by high flexibility in electric motor trials. A comprehensive variety of motor types can be tested and a complete range of tests carried out. The mechanical configuration consists of a test bed with a load machine and a torque measuring shaft. The load machine and torque sensor shaft are mounted on a linear guide and precisely aligned axially by means of laser. It can be moved towards the test object on ball bearings, as a complete unit. Shaft Speed Switches
A speed switch senses rotating shaft speed, comparing it to one or more settable over/under/zero speed alarm trip-points. A shaft speed sensor detects magnets embedded in a shaft-mounted pulser wrap/disc. As the shaft rotates, the passing magnets are detected across an air-gap as pulses with frequency proportional to shaft RPM. When a conveyor belt or bucket elevator begins to slip the pulse frequency (shaft RPM) crosses to the alarm side of a trip-point threshold, a corresponding relay de-energizes, providing shutdown or alarm.
