The PMR 3030 EXT Power Meter is a very versatile instrument covering communication bands from 30-1000 MHz. (The PMR 3030 is available for 30-500 MHz only. The PMR Power Meter is capable of measuring forward and reflected power in the range of a few milliwatts up to 500 Watts. The internal operating system controls measurement, display and the I/Os allowing serial communication to PC, USB to memory stick and USB Serial communication. The I/O options are used to write plots to either memory sticks or to a connected PC, the I/Os can also be used to operate the instrument, giving commands and receiving data. For documentation reference the instrument has a real time clock. Multilayer menus are used to setup and control the operation of parameters.

The voltmeter included in the kit, the “Model IA” voltmeter, is designed for ease of use by meter readers and corrosion technicians alike and the voltmeter comes with an integrated RE-5 reference electrode attached for “metallic structure-to-soil” potential difference readings. The kit also includes a special test lead that has a brass thumb screw on one end which allows the test lead to substitute for the RE-5 reference electrode. This substitution allows the voltmeter to take “structure-to-structure” potential difference readings. The voltmeter offers a 0 - 2VDC range with a 10MΩ input impedance and the analog display presents a color divided scale for convenient indication as to whether or not a carbon-steel structure is receiving a suitable level of cathodic protection, with respect to the accepted 0.85V (850mV) threshold value.

It has no analogue unit, thus it is very simple to overcome the zero drift which is impossible to be avoided in current colorimeter. The digital X (λ), Y (λ), Z (λ) sensor has large dynamic range so that there is no range-changing error in it; moreover, it possesses strong anti-interference ability and high accuracy. The CHC-I contains internal RS232 computer interface, the calibration is done by software. It is suitable for monitoring and remote applications.
