Interface RS-232
The RS-232 specification allows for reliable data transmission from one transmitter to one receiver at data rates of up to 20 kbps over relatively short distances (up to 50 feet). On more recent RS-232 transceiver chips, data rates of up to 1 Mbps are achievable over shorter distances (up to 5 feet). The most common applications for RS-232 transceivers are computers and peripherals, mobile phone data cables, and diagnostic data ports.

Photo Detector with Integrated Transimpedance Amplifiers
ADN3010-11
Analog Devices optoelectronic amplifiers include a range of germanium photodiodes that, through a proprietary process, have been monolithically integrated with silicon transimpedance amplifiers and limiting amplifiers. This process eliminates the need for bond wires connecting the photodiode to the transimpedance amplifier, which leads to improved performance and greater manufacturing reliability. Our portfolio of products also supports the growing need for optical and electrical interface miniaturization.

0 Hz/DC to 14 GHz, Single-Pole, Four-Throw MEMS Switch With Integrated Driver
ADGM1304
The ADGM1304 is a wideband, single-pole, four-throw (SP4T) switch, fabricated using Analog Devices, Inc., microelectro-mechanical system (MEMS) switch technology. This technology enables a small, wide bandwidth, highly linear, low insertion loss switch that is operational down to 0 Hz/dc, making it an ideal switching solution for a wide range of RF applications. An integrated control chip generates the high voltage necessary to electrostatically actuate the switch via a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-/low voltage transistor-transistor logic (LVTTL)-compatible parallel interface. All four switches are independently controllable. The ADGM1304 is packaged in a 24-lead, 5 mm × 4 mm × 0.95 mm lead frame chip-scale package (LFCSP).

Video Compression
Video compression is a critical technology in today’s mobile, networked video ecosystem. The resolutions and bit depths of high quality content require large amounts of scarce bandwith that can’t function without video compression. Symmetric compression is particularly important in live interactions where latency is a key factor. Analog Devices is the leader in JPEG2000-based video compressors, and ADI’s ADV2xx family has established itself as the standard in high quality video compression. ADV2xx video compressors are used in digital cinema projection systems (DCI), professional camera and broadcast systems, studio equipment, and consumer wireless HD applications.

PWM to Voltage Output D/A Converters
Analog Devices’ pulse-width modulation (PWM) to voltage output D/A converters convert a PWM input to an accurate, stable, buffered voltage without the ripple, slow settling, and external passive components of discrete filter implementations. Our PWM D/A converters measure the period and pulse width of a PWM input signal and immediately update the D/A converter output with up to 12-bit accuracy and no software coding required. This family of D/A converters is available with 8-bit to 12-bit resolution, dual and quad channels, integrated references, and with high temperature operation. Shunt Voltage References
Analog Devices offers a broad line of shunt precision voltage references that combine excellent accuracy and temperature stability with low noise and small packages. These devices operate in a manner that is functionally equivalent to a Zener diode. The bias current must be set higher than the sum of the maximum quiescent current of the voltage reference and the maximum expected load current. Since shunt voltage references are typically biased with a resistor, the voltage reference can operate on a wide range of input voltages.
